Olivia – Office Manager
Hello! My names Olivia I was raised here in Springville on a small farm near the mountains, where I developed a deep appreciation for animals, nature, and the outdoors from a young age. My family has been bringing our animals to Mountain West Animal Hospital for over 20 years, so having the opportunity to become part of a team I admired and looked up to throughout my life still feels incredibly surreal to me. I started working with animals in high school, where I interned & worked for a local dog training company as a dog behaviorist and trainer. Shortly after, I completed an online grooming program and started my own large breed-focused dog grooming business, which I ran for several years before moving to southern Utah, where I worked professionally as a groomer at a salon prior to eventually moving back home to Springville. I am currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree in Animal Health and Behavior with the goal of specializing in Clinical Animal Behavior, combining my passion for animal welfare, behavior, and veterinary medicine.
Outside of work and school, my husband and I spend most of our time hiking, camping, and traveling whenever we get the chance, or just relaxing at home watching movies and TV shows together. Our home is always full thanks to our dogs, Kiwi the Akbash and Beamer the Rottweiler, our cats Edward, Carlisle, Triscuit, as well as Ray the bearded dragon and Uncle Fungus the axolotl.

Katie – Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician
Katie was born and raised here in Utah. As a child, she developed a love for animals and knew she wanted to work with them as an adult. During high school, she achieved her Certified Nursing Assistant and Medical Assistant certifications and began working with disabled youth. She did this several years until having a child of her own. She then began working at a daycare facility that allowed her to raise her son while attending Broadview University. She became licensed as a veterinary technician and passed her Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE) in 2016. While diligently studying, she performed an externship at Mountain West Animal Hospital. Due to her outstanding performance at our facility, she was hired and has been with us since 2018. In her free time, Katie avidly spends time outdoors with her son doing a plethora of activities: paddle-boarding, hiking, hunting, fishing and four-wheeling. She also enjoys watching movies at home with her four pets – Grizz the German Shepherd, Bandit the Yorkshire Terrier, Jake the cat that acts more like a dog, and her “tripod” calico cat named Confetti.
